My Manga and I

I used to be a Manga-lover. I hit it off hard. I love reading manga since 15 years ago.. But, I started getting seriously into the manga hobby, when I was in high school (11 years ago) and already collecting 2 - 4 series at a time..
Before I knew it I was spending lots of my money on manga. Manga is great, but yeah, its money consuming.. I know buying manga can be an expensive habit.. 18000 IDR – 20000IDR per volume.
Almost, every week I buy new manga.. If I see an interesting manga, I'll buy into it, which hurts my bank account a lot..(~,~;)a
It's just like cigarettes. I just can't help buying a series that looks interesting ,then I'll buy the entire series.
To be honest, I actually gained a lot more knowledge from reading Manga and watching Anime..
To me, this is a reason why some addictions hobby (like this) aren't bad. Especially something that involves a culture and language not familiar to your own.. You become interested and want to learn about it.. :D
And Here's my manga.. I think I need to buy a new bookshelf.. :o

Kyoto ga Daisuki..!!

Why I love kyoto??
Kyoto is amazing for the traditional neighborhood in the city..This ancient city is electrified..
I love kyoto for its elegant old form of beauty.. The architecture is so amazing for me..
Shrines, temples everywhere, and Torii gates..It is the most Zen city.. I love the quiet, beautiful and peaceful place.. Everything has a low profile here..The buildings are mostly uneventful and not very tall..
I think Kyoto is a place you go to get away from all of your annoying modern life..

 Kinkakuji (Golden Pavilion)

Ginkakuji (銀閣寺, Silver Pavilion)

Fushimi Inari Shrine (伏見稲荷大社, Fushimi Inari Taisha)

Famous bamboo grove at Arashiyama

Love Kyoto because kimonos are still in fashion, geisha, festivals in kyoto, and of course samurai's history..Very beautiful scenes.. I love Kyoto's atmosphere.. Yosha!! I'll go there someday, that's for sure!! Matte te ne..KYOTO!! XD

SUGOII..!! Manga Farming..!!!! (*0*)

Wow “SUGEE!!" those were the first words that I said when I saw this manga farming method..If you’re looking for a way to creatively reuse your old manga, here's a way guys..*jreeeng..jreeng

Tokyo-based artist Koshi Kawachi recently demonstrated his "Manga Farming" technique, which uses old manga as a growing medium for vegetables, by cultivating a crop of radish sprouts in an installation at the Matsuzakaya department store in Nagoya..
Wow, can you imagine????
So, are you ready to grow vegetable or produce a beautiful organic garden with your old manga minna???..:P lol

What does manga mean??

Manga (Japanese: 漫画 are comics created in Japan, or by Japanese creators in the Japanese language, conforming to a style developed in Japan in the late 19th century. They have a long and complex pre-history in earlier Japanese art.
In Japan, people of all ages read manga. The medium includes works in a broad range of genres: action-adventure, romance, sports and games, historical drama, comedy, science fiction and fantasy, mystery, suspense, detective, horror, sexuality, and business/commerce, among others.Since the 1950s, manga has steadily become a major part of the Japanese publishing industry .

Manga-comics are divided into many different types, or genres. These are:

1. Doujinshi
This type of manga translates as "fan-work" (literally "same-person-writing")
Doujinshi is unofficial manga that is made and produced by fans of an original series, or a self-published manga

2. Gekiga
Gekiga means "dramatic pictures". This type of manga is more experimental or literary.

3. Hentai This manga is sexually hardcore manga. Hentai is Japanese for "perverted" or "perversion". (adult content)

4. Josei
Josei is manga aimed at adult women. (adult content). It is derived from the English "Lady Comic"

5. Seinen
Seinen (literally "adult") is the exact same thing as Josei except for males. (adult content)

6. Shōujo (少女)
Shōujo (literally "young girl"), Not Shōjo(処女), shojo means virgin、 is manga aimed at young females up to the age 18. These series tend to focus on romance and relationships from a young female's point of view.

7. Shonen
This is almost the same as shojo except it is mostly action, sports or romance for males up to age 18. It translates literally as "boy".

Happy Birthday my Dearest GACKT Sama!!!!! \(^///^)/
Time flies like an arrow, It's terribly fast..You've turned into 40 years old.. For me,you're not getting older XD..Yeah, you sure don't look your age..I mean that in a good way Gackt sama..^^v

I have been a fan of Gackt from teen to adulthood (almost 10 years).. Just remember, the first song I’ve heard from Gackt is 'Last Song' and Gackt's vocals ride, delivering beautiful tunes and sung in a sweet way..Well,it is quite special when you hear a song and you get the sense of the the time when you first heard it..

The song has to make sense, sound fantastic and have an amazing message to it for me to enjoy it..Then, I grew up listening to his songs..XD I thank God for the day that you were born and for you being such a great J-rocker to me..
Now, Even I've gotten to love other musicians, bands, artists, but Gackt always have a place in my heart..
I'll always be your HUGE fan..
Again....,Hope you have a birthday as awesome as you are GACKT Sama..

J-BANDS I Want to see BACK TOGETHER!!!! (>o<)

I would love JUDY and MARY Back..!! The band is best known for their noisy but melodic pop and cute punk music in the 1990s..They boosted in popularity after their 'Sobakasu' song was used as Rurouni Kenshin's (Samurai X) first opening..:D..I keep listening to all their songs over and over again..Their live performance always awesome.. After JAM disbanded, Yuki made her solo debut in 2002, and having a successful solo career.. I like her unique voice.. Her voice is usually loved or hated, due to it's high-pitched, and almost childish tone..
But, I just wish they were still together (Judy and Mary) not just YUKI, to make new music.. I want them back, so much..,even if only for a one day revival. Just so I can see them live at least once.. I wish their whole break up was a joke..:(

Members:

Yuki Isoya (磯谷 有希) - vocalist, lyricist
Yoshihito Onda (恩田 快人)bassist, composer
Takuya Asanuma  (浅沼 拓也) guitarist, lyricist, composer
Taiji Fujimoto (藤本 泰司) - guitarist
Kohta Igarashi (五十嵐 公太) - drummer, composer

 Judy and Mary (JAM)

LUNA SEA was a popular Japanese hard rock band, formed in 1989 by Ryuichi Kawamura vocalist' Yasuhiro "Sugizo" Sugihara lead guitarist, violin, backing vocals; Shinobu "Inoran" Inoue, rythm guitarist, backing vocals;  Jun "J" Onose, bassist, backing vocals *nose bleeding* LMAO (He's my favorite member by the way..It's amazing that J-san still looks the same!!! Handsome, Hot..Yeah..Indeed he does!! lol XD); and Shinya Yamada, drummer, percussion..
Well, if there's one V-kei mega band that could have equaled the legendary status of X- Japan, it would be Luna Sea.. Luna Sea decided to disband  on December 26 and 27, 2000..*Owwww*..:(
But In 2007, Luna Sea reunited for a one-off reunion concert at the Tokyo Dome, and again in 2008 for the Hide memorial summit..^^ In 2010 the group officially reunited and held a world tour.. Their first new album in thirteen years planned for 2013..:D

LUNA SEA

Another band that I liked is ELLEGARDEN.. Even though they’re not really disbanded (but on hiatus) I miss their performance, their songs..The English lyrics of the band's songs, which are mostly written by Hosomi, are usually grammatically sound and well pronounced..Ellegarden's music can be described as pop punk, alternative rock.. Their melodic sound just fine playing next to Simple Plan, Blink-182, Sum 41..When i watched their videos, it would be great to have em back soon.. Such a great band...!!!!

Members :
Takeshi Hosomi (細美 武士) Vocalist, rhythm guitarist,
Shinichi Ubukata (生形 真一) lead guitarist, backing vocals,
Yuichi Takada (高田 雄一) bassist, backing vocals,
Hirotaka Takahashi (高橋 宏貴) drummer, backing vocals..

 Ellegarden

DO AS INFINITY..

Members:
vocalist Tomiko Van,
guitarist Ryo Owatari, and
guitarist and composer Dai Nagao..
Do As Infinity disbanded on September 29, 2005.. When I found that D.A.I  was disbanding I became incredibly upset.. I was infatuated by the voice of the vocalist Tomiko Van..But, Thank God,  the band reformed on September 29, 2008 - present..(but Nagao did not return..Nagao continuing to work with other artists at Avex Trax..)

Next...., TOKYO JIHEN a.k.a TOKYO INCIDENTS.. I love their songs, albums, and the band itself.. I generally love its jazzy influences mix with pop n rock.. Unfortunately, Tokyo Jihen disbanded last year (2012) February to the surprise and dismay of many fans (including myself).. The unit’s last official album release as a band was color bars, an intimate collection of 5 brand new songs composed by each of the members..We got to hear what each of the members brought to the table individually for the first time, That was a genius way to say goodbye to the fans ..Btw, Just wondering what Shiina Ringo’s reason for disbanding is, and what the members'll do once they disband. Still sad, but I believe they will still be making music..
